What is a UPC?

UPC stands for Universal Product Code.

It is a unique code assigned to a specific product. This product within music refers to an album or a single.

Everything within that release will be attached to the one UPC. Meaning a UPC can only be used by one person. They cannot be shared across different artists or releases.

A UPC combines all tracks within an album. It is the whole product as a bundle. A single, EP and album will all have one unique UPC.
